Makos Board Members will receive 50% off their registration fee for one of their swimmers!!!! With that said, we have 3 board positions open!!!! This is an exciting opportunity to help make sure we have successful meets this summer. The 3 positions open are:
Concessions Coordinator- In charge of making a BJ/Costco/or Sam’s Club run to pick up snacks and stuff to sell at home meets. You will also be in charge of running concession at our 3 home meets. You will be given the opportunity to leave and watch your child(ren) swim.
Volunteer Coordinator- In charge of making sure all of the volunteer positions are filled. You will send out weekly emails reminding parents to sign up for the volunteer positions. There are email drafts already created for this position.
Parent Coordinator- You send out the weekly meet information. Tells parents where the meets are, where they should park, what time to be there, etc.. You also coordinate with the parent coordinator of the away meets to find out the specific information for the meets. Draft emails are already created for this position, you would just need to update the information. This individual also is the main contact person for parents who have questions regarding the swim team (e.g. Where do I order my bathing suit from?, What time do we need to be at a swim meet?, Where can I get a swim cap?). Also on meet days, if a parent hasn’t checked in but they have committed to the meet, you may have to call them to confirm they are coming.
